changing mirror lights??

This is a discussion on changing mirror lights?? within the General Discussion forums, part of the Scion tC category; does anyone know how to change the turnsignal lights on the rearview mirrors? i was going to put blue leds ...

    Default changing mirror lights??

    does anyone know how to change the turnsignal lights on the rearview mirrors? i was going to put blue leds in but when i got it off it looks like it is sealed off with no way to get into it

    I'll get this started and say that its real hard to do and a real pain, all I know is that you need a dremel tool and a lot of patience, but thats about all I know, someone else take this one.

    you need to cut it open.. yes.

    i use a dremel.

    I DID Google... and it brought me here. So I registered, then I Googled some more. For the search impaired or lazy:

    The body-colored shell of the mirror snaps off fairly easily -- use a small screwdriver along the bottom edge. I just needed to put in a new lens & light assy to replace a broken one. Piece of cake. If you wanna change colors, that's when you need to cut the lens open.
