question about stock head unit

I have the upgraded head unit in my tc and i want to keep it because i like to control my ipod through it. i want to upgrade the speakers and i was wondering if it has jacks for an amp. if not can i get a different pioneer headunit and keep the ability to control my ipod though it with the stock cable going to the center armrest?????
