I have the '08 headlights installed on my '07 with a HID kit. It was an easy install, aside from removing the bumper.
Real HID Headlight Kit - true hid kit : cheap hid kit : hid kits
I got the 6000K. The '08 headlight uses H11 for the low beam.
H.I.D
High & Low beams <Happy I have them lol
NY gives tickets for them if they
don't come stock on the car

That is pretty silly. It should be fine as long as they are aimed right. I know the first time I installed mine, I went for a drive and they were aimed way up and were blinding people. I cranked them way downward and they are fine now. I still get dumb people who flash their high beams at me because I go over a bump and blind them for a split second, but whatever.
I have that problem in my '07 Tundra w/ just the stock low beams. My brights are just that, super bright, so I enjoy showing them the real gems. That is the main reason why I have not put HIDs in the truck. I am not going to adjust the lights down below specs. These are reflectors, not projectors. Teh best option for me is HID driving lamps, but they cost way too much. I put HIDs in my '07 Camry that came with projectors. The cut-off was perfect and noone gets happy with their "flash to pass" feature on their turn stalk.![]()

I like my '08 tail lights, now the question is:
To get them blacked out or not?
checking the classifieds to see if anyone "hates" their 08 head lights! lol!![]()
They look too much like my Camry's. da da bump. I would say that had I not already bought my projectors, I would be sporting those.

i hated the bump at first. but after seeing them in the showroom (everything looks better in the showroom!) and learning the difference btwn reflector and projector housings im dead set on getting them!
i gotta get stuff for wife's suv now and then tho to keep her quiet about me potentially spending thousands on the tC! slyvania silverstars here, wash and wax there, gas money, etc. gotta keep her happy!
keep her happy and she will keep you happy lol
