TWM makes a bronze bushing replacement kit for the shift cables at the tranny. Worth the money for a little more response. I am about to experiment with my TRD by doing an ergonomic shift. Simply put, I am going to heat and bend the shifter rod to a 45degree angle up and over towards the gas pedal. That geometry shift will atleast help me from ramming my elbow into the center armrest when shifting 2nd hard.

yea .. i hate hitting my elbow .. i have to have the armrest open to prevent that .. the stock shifter i could have my arm resting on it and shift with no problems .. but now with the short shifter its a pain sumtimez lmao

i got the cable bushings with my twm shifter i just havent gotten around to install them.

Physically, NO, they canot damage your tranny. Yes, driver error may be multiplied.

if it is then damn i'm messin my tranny up
.. wen i shift to second gear i guess its not locked in properly and i get off of the clutch and step on the throttle .. i hear it grinding .. scares the hell out of me
