is it better to get the trd short shifter from factory or get aftermarket ones
i think it would be better since it SHOULD be covered under warranty (not too sure though)

TWM makes a bronze bushing replacement kit for the shift cables at the tranny. Worth the money for a little more response. I am about to experiment with my TRD by doing an ergonomic shift. Simply put, I am going to heat and bend the shifter rod to a 45degree angle up and over towards the gas pedal. That geometry shift will atleast help me from ramming my elbow into the center armrest when shifting 2nd hard.

yea .. i hate hitting my elbow .. i have to have the armrest open to prevent that .. the stock shifter i could have my arm resting on it and shift with no problems .. but now with the short shifter its a pain sumtimez lmao![]()

i was looking at getting a SS as well.. how hard is it to install? while im asking, what is the best SS for the money.. i dont need anything too fancy.
Easy to install and ac3 b00i3, try moving you seat forward a notch or two. Now try racing thru the gears. I have noticed that the OEM clutch pedal travel is excessive before the clutch fully disengages. Moving your seat forward "stages" you into the "deadzone" of the pedal travel, thus shortening the amount of leg input needed to fully disengage the clutch.
