Talking Stock single disc pioneer deck

    Hello all,

Sorry if this has been addressed previously but I didn't find my answers searching through old threads...I have a couple questions...I might be trading for 2 alpine 10 type E's and a 800 watt alpine mono-channel amp. Is the amp strong enough to power these subs and any possible reviews on these type E's?

My main question is to know if it is possible to keep my stock single disk pioneer deck. I have not taken apart the dash to look at the back of the deck but I did see the tutoriol which should help me when the time comes. In case it matters I'm rolling the 07 tc.

Thank you, and and all helpful information is MUCH appreciated.

A good rule of thumb for matching amplifiers to speakers is is to power the speaker 25% (for high-power speakers, increase to 50%) over its rated RMS value. That is to say if a speaker is rated to 50Watts RMS 1Watt/1Meter then you should power it with an amp capable of 62.5Watts RMS (75Watts respectively). It is better to over power a speaker than to underpower. Yes, you can damage a speaker by cranking too much power with the gains up and too much distorted bass. You have to match the gains with the head unit to about 75% of the volume level and tune the bass levels down. On the flip side, you can burn up an amplifier by overdriving at distorted levels.
