I don't think its bad. I'm pretty sure its just a build up of fumes from the high revs in the exhaust and they're igniting when they come out. Don't think that will hurt anything. But I think backfiring can happen in the engine too. Now I know thats bad.lol But I'm sure thats not what urs is doing though. I bet it looks cool for whoevers behind u in the dark when this happens. I bet they see some FLAMES!lol our two other cars that i drive both back fire. Usually happens with aftermarket exhausts. If I'm wrong with whatever I said hopefully someone will correct me.lol

well i have an automatic so i dont think im hitting the rev limiter. and it is just one loud pop. i think i know what its from i got my car on a lift today and they totally screwed my exhaust. they cut my stock midpipe and and jujst welded the new 2.5 inch pipe to my midpipe they didnt even put new flanges. so what i think it is that its being sqeuuzed down after the s-pipe then again b4 it leaves the midpipe i think im going to get a whole new exhaust. hks? would the hks replace my s pipe?
