Default test drove a tc today

im in the market for a new car. i need something inexspensive and not "boring". how do you all feel the tc is holding up. are you satisfied with the overall qaulity of the car?

i will be driving this car to work and it will see autocrosses twice monthly in the summertime.

the tC is holding up great. well worth it for the price you're gonna be paying for it. it has so many standard features compared to other cars. quality is good but not great (there are some rattles). as for autocrossing, i wouldnt know.i wouldnt thnk it would be that great since a lot of the weight is on the top of the car (all glass roof), but there are alot of people that do auto-xing with their tC's and they dont complain.

My friend just bought an 06 and after 300 miles it's still whisper quite in her car. I'm wondering if they fixed all the rattles in the 06's. I'll keep you guys updated.

My 06 started rattling over bumps and ruff roads shortly after I got it. I am slightly dissapointed but it is a hatchback, and for that reason and many others I will never own another car with a hatch ever again!

I took another road test with my father, and I noticed a few things. This was an 06. I noticed a vibration coming from the back of the car, and it could be felt in the steering wheel. I also noticed that for a toyota engine, it didnt idle as smooth as I imagined? It might just be the car, but how do your cars idle?

When I first start it up my car idles pretty rough for a couple mins then it settles when it warms up. The 4 banger engine does run a little louder IMO, but when I got my exhaust it drowned out the motor noise with a nice tone.
