Default Fun With Zipties

Did you know that zipties have certain limitations, such as load and stretch. The other limitation is 110MPH. Apparently, around this speed, they tend to give way to aerodynamic forces impossed upon them and, therefore, should not be used to hold you front clip on. As such, I am now in the market for a replacement wheelwell mud guard and a few other pieces.

Oh that sucks hard core right there. Why you doing 110mph? Were you just testing this out or what? You should get the heavy duty zipties and see how that goes for you. Sorry to hear about this but had to try to make it funny for ya.

Well, it was just one of those spur-of-the-moment deals. Ya know, "Hey, let's pull the front-end off and reattach it with regular zipties. No wait, how about these blue zipties. They match the car. Now let's see how fast I can go before the front-end falls off". Well, it wasn't quite like that. I had the front clip off while I was doing some mods and temporarily attached it back on. This was meant just for driving local while I am awaiting parts. My Daughters B-Day party was this weekend, so I journeyed the 9 hours to North Texas. On the way back, others were in a hurry. Not to take the chance that they were running from Godzilla or Hillary Clinton, I follwed suit and quickly matched their pace. Remembering about the temporary nature of my front-end, I decidedly slowed down to a much more casual pace of 90. Always glad to performance test products.
