it will not void your warrenty they just wont cover that part say some 1 sticks a paotato and it ****s up your motor they wont cover it becase that potato go stuck in your hks muffler and they wont cover the muffler. and yes it will pass emissions now if u got cat back you will fail emissions.

Ditto. If you still have the OEM header, I believe that you can still pass the emissions test with a cat-back as the mid-pipe cat is just there to make Arnold and gang in Cali happy! A visual inspection may cause issue, but just point at the cat in the header and say, "There ya go".

Would redoing the headers or getting a cat-back be more beneficial to your HP?

Yes, more HP on the top end for a 4-1 header. More torque on the low to mid end w/ a 4-2-1 header. Go with the 4-2-1 (you also get more HP).

Read this sticky on catbacks.

Read here for info on headers.

There is plenty of info on exhaust stickied in the performance section.

No, I know all that. I was just wondering which would be better if you could only choose one. Headers or cat-back?

Hmm, I would have to say headers. A true cat-back is only going to upsize your piping from 2.25" to 2.5" past your 2nd cat. They may remove the factory resonator, but leave the 2nd cat. This cat and resonator are no where near the restriction on the OEM header w/ the primary cat. Is there a reason, besides fundage, that you are going one or the other?

I was just curious really. I still haven't really planned out what I want to do to the car so just taking in as much info as I can. I have an Injen CAI and a ZPI s-pipe on the way. I'm gonna get a lightened pulley after that, and then I don't know what.

Get the LW pulley 1st. You will notice the difference more, cheaper, and not that hard to do. As far as replacing the headers, let me back pedal a little from my previous comment. In addition to, I forgot to mention that if dealing with the dealership and passing emissions is a hassle for you, then keep the OEM header and go with a cat-back. Even if you remove the secondary cat, unless you live in California, you should not have any problems.

You think it would be better to get the ZPI or the Agency Power pulley?

I would rather get the headers, but I'm gonna hold off for now on both.
