    Default for manual owners..

how is the clutch, im curious? is it very sensitive? i previously had a 98 civic... its clutch was perfect for me.

i noticed that some of the newer clutches aer super sensitive though (as opposed to the old ones, which were stiff as hell).

one more thing: how does the car handle on snow? i live in virginia, and it snows here.. is it better or worse to drive a stick in the snow? im guessing the manual, because it jolts when shifting.

The clutch is good. It might be sticky at first but once in wears in, its easy. You might think newer clutches are sensitive because you aren't used to the engagement points, every car is slightly different. Most new clutches feel real sticky for a while until they wear in.

I prefer manual in an condition because I have better control of the car, but this depends on your level of skill with driving a manual. I haven't had the (dis)pleasure of driving my tC in the snow yet so I can't say from experience and I wish that I never had to, but I live in jersey so we usually get a few storms a year.

Mine is about a year old now and I love it. It feels strong and smooth.

Drove the car in snow and it handles OK, but the OEM Potenzas I have aren't for snow. The stock clutch is sturdy and more than adequate for power levels up to 300WHP. I find it to be a bit bouncy though, necessitating a more feathered approach for smooth engagements in 1st and 2nd.

I agree driving a manual in the snow is better cause you have more control over the vehicle. I have the snow to deal with as well and it did just fine!

Manual in the snow is hands-down harder... you can't simply push the brakes down in the snow... you have to engine brake a lil... Also, taking off is another tricky feat.... Wheel spin is hard to control without feathering the pedals just right... Front wheel drive cars just aren't for the wintery months in Wisco... AWD rock the snow...

AWD(4WD)>FWD>RWD when it comes to snow, or inclimate weather in general. Driving in the snow with manual requires some practice, but I think its better than auto once you get good at it.
