Since joining the forum I have noticed all the talk that navy has been doing about Jotech racing and Kenny Tran, well the other day while I was on youtube I came across this video.

That would be sweet, but unfortunately going to school full time and working part time with full time hours puts a damper on that but in the next few years I want to save up some money and maybe have forced induction of some sort installed by them. The road trip itself would be worth it.

*drool* If I had a million bucks...sure I might end up with a car that was fast from the factory...but I would soup-up my tC first...working on the car makes you feel like you deserve it more than buying it fast. This website is the first I have ever heard of Kenny Tran...and I already have a lot of respect for him.
one hot tC. bravo. |

So true. Anyone can drop the cash and have it done. The magazines are full of them. There are very few people that go all the way and make a truly impressive ride all on their own though. Just having the space to work on and the correct tools can be a daunting task. I give alot of respect to anyone who does most of the work or all of it. Your car either becomes your passion or your angst. That all depends on how adept you are.

I so want to be able to work on my own car but OMG where and how do I start??? I've been reading through several different posts and boards and I'm less confident that I can do this than ever before *sob* On a scale of 1-10, my car knowledge is at about a 0.5. I am scum Any advise on how to go about starting my gear head journey? This is also in response to this post Thanks in advance for your mercy *bats eyelashes* Last edited by giimmelub; Wed., Nov 07, 2007 at 02:05 AM. Reason: forgot to say thank you :D |

Just make sure that you garnish knowledge from someone who actually has the knowledge. There are many out there who portray themselves as automotive intellectuals that are just barely knowledgeable themselves. The same goes for the Internet resources. Always read up, ask questions, and use your better judgement. We have alot of good gearhead on the forum here, so ask away.
