    Default Ford Focus

so i used to own a ford focus, and it fell apart as every other american car does. so i got a tc. i used to belong to a focus forum, and when i told them all the i bought a tc they all laughed and called it garbage and such. so in return and bragged about how a stock tc will destroy a stock zx3 and how it will keep up to an svt. they all laughed, and nonetheless i found someone with a stock zx3 who said they would run my s**t. so we raced (on the track of course) and i pulled like 3 cars on him out to 100. he cried, and then claimed he missed a shift, but its funny because my friend who was in his car claimed that he did not miss a shift and the entire time he was cursing because his car was too slow. so basically i called out all of the focus fags, and they blocked me from the focusfanatics.com forum. haha. they're all mad cuz they know that our ,000 tC will run their ,000 svt focus. its fine though, because i would rather own a scion tC than an svt focus any day!

the focus platform is known for how well it handles... but thats all its got. they are ugly as sin, and just as slow. there a few riced out focus's around where i live and they all think they drive the fastest cars ever... theres even a focus with like 2 or 3 wings on the back, it looks pretty silly, its got one just over the latch on the back door, then another one on top of the back windshield! I LOL every time i see it.

$19K tC? Did you buy all the options or get the RS3.0? My '05 with its small list of options came out to $17.5K TTL.

i overpayed for mine. well at least i think. but it feels really fast for some reason, maybe thats because it is a lot faster than a zx3 with i/e but it feels like lightning compared to my focus. idk, i did overpay, but i still love the car.

im a GM guy myself, but id be lying to myself if i said my ride didnt suffer from many of the american car typical poor quality problems. i mean c'mon man, an s-10 has got to have one of the ****iest interiors in any car EVER! thats not to say yours isnt a nice s-10, just that s-10/blazer interior is really cheap and crappy. Hell thats my main gripe with my car, the interior feels and looks plasticy and cheap. I do have to admit though, recently GM has really stepped it up with some of the 07-08 models. Take for example the saturn aura xr, have you been in one? that **** is pimp! by far one of the nicest interiors i have ever seen in an american car, or any comparable import for that matter, very classy. i just hope GM will continue to make quality cars like that.

Yeah, I don't care for white much, but the White Blizzard Pearl paint just sticks out. I did a doubletake and for a brief moment did not recognize it as a tC. We have one posted in the Members Rides section. Ya'll should check it out. I was wowed by the car so much, I ponied up and bought it for my Son for graduation.

i actually love white cars. the tC we got is white. i just like the subtle lip kit the car has, its just enough to set it off. im not a fan of over the top body kits... hell even the one on my car is borderline rice in my honest opinion. but the way the tC RS kit just ads that lip to the back and accents the openings on the front bumper is just enough to make it stand out and catch the eye but still look tastefull.

True that. That is the way I feel about 90% of the body kits out there. Most have no functionality beyond looks. They have no wind tunnel/simulation testing. The job of body kits is to smooth and control the air around the vehicle by deflecting lift and decreasing drag coefficiency. Only problem is, it won't make into Need For Speed or Juiced w/o some flied rice I find the lines of the tC flowing smoothly enough that any type of wing/spoiler detracts from it's sexy look. It was a tough decision for me to install that Kaminari wing on my car. After some research, studying the product, and taking into account what I want to do with the car, I came to the conlusion that it would be acceptible to me. It is an aerodynamically sound inverted wing that can be adjusted into a spoiler. Too bad that it doesn't adjust automatically. I am toying with the idea of modifying it to do just that; hit the brakes and it adjusts up to spoiler profile to assist in highspeed braking and back down to an inverted wing profile to control rear lift by use of proper downforce.

If Ford would release the european ****us it would be a different argument. I personally like SVT Focus's and what you can do with a focus at a SOLO II event. But Focus's are the same as tCs to me in a straight line...

I guess being in Japan really ruined my excitement about dragging a car that runs over 13 seconds in the quarter..

Had to laugh out loud when I saw this thread. I traded in a ZX5 for my TC. I cant believe a foci owner would call you out. I like the feel of the clutch in the focus but thats where I draw the line. (that may only be because I'm just not use to this one yet) I regreted the focus the day I bought it. The TC is great!

The Focus has the appeal of eurosport support for road rallies. To be honest, I just can't picture it making those 40ft jumps like a Subie
