The ECM is encrypted better than Sony's DRM. There is no socket for a upgrade chip. There is a TRD reflash for the TRD S/C that requires a special adaptor and software to load. So far, no one has built a replacement OEM unit like a Hondata. Running a piggy-back or a standalone on a stock or even a lightly modded 2AZ-FE is a waste of money. You won't get any appreciable gains till you either fully build the motor or boost it. I/H/E and a pulley are your best bets for power upgrades.

navy i do have a question.....trd makes the I/E but no header. so if i bought an aftermarket header what is the worst that it could void on my warrentee? also what is a good header to purchase?

the worst that it could do is the dealership won't cover any labor and work over the damages under warranty...

will it cause any damage? that's your risk...

but really.. the point i wanna get across to the OP.. is NO.

by pulley, do you mean an underdrive pulley? and if so, how much horsepower would i/e/h and an underdrive pulley add to the wheels?

TRD does not make a header because the primary catalytic converter is housed in the area that the header would be going, there by removing it. This means you can't pass emissions. If you still want a header, and I would not blame you if you did, I would recommend the Weapon R Race header, since it is a true 4-2-1 header.

Don't do an underdriven pulley, it will mess up all your accessories, get one that is the same size but lighter. Thats just what I have heard.

i have the agency power lightweight crank pulley installed on my car, and i noticed an increase in low end power. the best part is that its so easy to install in about 20 mins you're done.
