Well, it has been awhile and it is high-time for more useless trivia!!! Ok, this one is a two-parter; name that part off a Scion tC and the second is the back page of the magazine. What is that car and what makes it so special? For the more astute, who is the person standing next to that car?

Not sure of the part but the car looks like the NITTO tC and is the person Kenny Tran?

You are correct! That is Kenny Tran with the original Nitto tC from 2004 SEMA. It has been revamped from a show car to a road course track car. That is special in it's own right, but there is something there that really makes the car special. As for the part, keep guessing. BTW... ignore the powdercoat finish, it is usually the base color coat of the individual tC.
