Default New guy

just picked up a 06 scion for a DD i love the car. I have the dealership getting me a owners manual mine was robed.. I have a question on the rear view mirror does it always have that orange glow on.. Wasn't sure if it would kill the battery if i didn't drive it for a week or so.. anyways i live in Raleigh NC. I just sold my DSM. Looking to do a few things to the scion while saving up for something nasty

If you're talking about the auto-dimming mirror with the orange LEDs, then no, the glow can be changed from orange to blue, dim white, a cycle of all three, or off.

Locate the button that turns on the bright white LEDs. Press it and hold it. Keep holding it. Hold it some more. The light color should change from white to orange, then to blue, then to a dim white, then I believe back to orange (this is the cycle setting, not the plain orange), finally to off. Release the button when you're on the setting you want.

Never knew this. Spartan, we need this in the appropriate Tech Article section. Can you please post this info there? I would much rather you post it than me quoting your words.
