is there anyway to tune the tc so it wont rev so high?
why would you do that? hell, im replaicing my entire valve-train just so i can tune the car to rev to 8500 without breaking stuff(stock limiter was at 6500, currently reving to 7200).
2004 Saturn Ion Redline:
stg 2 w/ 3" pully - 15psi
k&n cai
diamond forged 10:1 pistons
arp headstuds
zzp hdr + dp
custom 3" cb
SMM's
B&G springs
water/meth inj
tuned
... much more ...
Of course it can be done, but I'm with Ahriman... Why would you want to?
ohh
i ment so like when i do the speed limit
i can have my rpm as close to 2k as possible
thats what i meant
is it possible to increase the rev limit of the tc?
That has everything to do with vehicle speed, gearing and overall wheel size. Currently, you can only affect 2 out of the 3. This is why we have been screaming for a 6-speed option.
Unfortunately for tC's, the only way to defeat the RPM limiter is via a standalone system. Piggybacks can't change the encrpytion of the Toyota ECM.
