will it beat a hemi

Hey everyone, just wondering how a stock tC would do against a stock dodge ram quad cab with a hemi. I got a guy at work that keeps talking crap about my car. I would love to humiliate him and make him shut his hole by beating him. However, I dont want to make my car look bad by racing this guy and having to listen to brag any more than he already does, if he should win.

He does have a big heavy truck but idk about that hemi tho. I know they have a 5.7L. You might have the upper hand since ours cars are light but i have no idea how fast tho trucks ACC.

It all depends what goodies each of you have on your car.
The truck is very heavy tho, but the hemi outs out a lot of power. My dad has a 06 charger with lots of goodies and that thing is *****in. but go for it. remember we drive $19000 tCs not $40000 trucks.

See...people like that, just let them talk crap. Dont pay any attention to them, when his HEMI breaks down and asks for a ride, dont give him one, or just put it over his head. OR what you can do is do some modifications, and then not tell him. Then when you think you are ready, just walk him.

My Mom has an extended cab SWB Hemi truck. It was alot of fun to drive but my 5.7L Tundra Crewmax (bigger) would stomp its butt. I know that a tC w/ I/H/E would easily beat the Dodge. I have seen them beat an '06 Charger R/T. More important than HP is Torque. The main factors of Torque are traction, gearing, and weight (order of importance). Without traction, everything is a wash. Gearing can overcome weight (to a point), but not necessarily the opposite. Trucks are notorious for lack of traction (heavy front end/ light rearend). As such, trucks don't transfer weight efficiently to the rear axle.

BTW...Auto tC (stock) would most likely loose.

just for laughs i raced my buddy in his dad's lavender () hemi truck. although it wasnt a 1/4 mile (probably 1/8 give or take), i had him by a couple lengths! I didnt think i'd have a chance! GO VVT-i !

I was right behind them (letting off the gas, of course). The Charger had R/T badging. It may have just been that. IDK much about those cars. They went from a light and about a 30 roll. They were playing around heading to a spot to actually watch me race a supposed stock Cobalt SS (yeah, I was beat), so there was some reaction time between them. That went both ways. If the Charger got he jump, the tC reeled him in.
