ok, so i put up 5 or 6 more. let me know wut you like to see and i'll spiffy them up tomorrow.

16 does look real beautiful, but I don't think that it has the contrast to work as a decal on a tinted window. Just got a look at #11. Maybe it is the old Trekker in me, but I like it.

isnt that photo off the internet? If any legal actions were taken by photographer club-tC administrator could be sued for taking something thats not ours without permission

it's public domain. featured on several personal sites, image galleries, and free webwork sites. good try though. don't feel bad, it's not that good of an entry for a decal; you're still in the running--so there's no need to try to undermine my work in the process. k thanks.

nah man i am not trying to be mean are anything im just saying for the club sakes because that would suck for the admin to get sued know what i mean... im just looking out...

Its a legit point... in the contest I specifically stated that the Scion logo not be used just for that reason. That picture is of a logo that is tradmarked by Scion and the image was taken by a photographer that is unknown to me.

I will say that that picture is all over the net. It is widely used and I don't know of any other site that has had any legal problems due to its use.

Fortunately, I do have a lawyor that I can freely speak to ... and will probably ask for a little advice. My main concern is how that will print for decals... and how it will look from far away on the side of your car...

even if the photo is free to reuse, still, it is a picture of the scion logo. Therefore, other organizations can't use it as their identity. If its logo/decal you are looking for, then what you need is something original. Besides, do you really want to have a logo that's been used all over, or do you want to have your own unique one?

I'm not saying that you are wrong... I, along with the other site staff, will consider many things when we make our final decision. As I have outlined in other posts, there are many aspects that we must take into consideration. This thread was simply for the Club-tC members to express their opinions ... and help the staff select a logo and club decal.

it was just a simple idea (as mentioned in the description that i wrote for it the day i posted it). this is turning into a nasty beauty padgent.

i like the car you used in those two (raris+c). i haven't tried to use a car because i didnt think people would want a sticker featuring their car model on their car (kinda redundant).

but the one you used has pretty good form and balance. i would love to see it white washed, left justified, with the club logo simplified and placed at the bottom on the right side of the car (or maybe placed at the bottom, starting on the left side of the car grille.) throw a bottom line on there and blur it and the text (gaussian) so that they balance more with the car...

oh man. you could do some awesome stuff. nice car pic.

i dont think we should have a rectangular shaped logo- straight edges and severe corners are too static for the smoother shape of our cars. some variation of line and form on whichever design we choose will harmonize with the curves better, just a thought

So anyone know how the decision process is going? I like mine the best. LOL. No they are all great designs. I am just very ansy to know which is gonna be the victor.
