Rx8
My friend has an RX8 and is always talkin sh!t on my tC. He really wants to race after I get my supercharger. Think I can beat him? Anyone else raced RX8's

i ran one with an all motor set up I/H/E .. NOOOO chance !! .. a rotory engine is no joke
BEST OF LUCK TO YA THO  front wheel drive is goin to be a BIG factor in this .. ur best bet is from a 20 roll keep it in second if ur manual .. then change gear at 6200 .. its goin to come REALLY quick so watch ur RPM .. then continue from there

Get boosted, then you might have a chance.
The fact that a Scion tC boosted, equates to about the equal power of a stock RX-8 is kind fo a testament to that. But comparing the two for competition is kind of silly. It's like us challening a Kia Spectra to a race and bragging about kicking his ass.

You don't have to feel down about it I mean just look at the numbers
Scion tC MSRP: $17,000 Mazda RX-8 Track Model MSRP: $32,000 The beauty is you can spend roughly 5k more and be on par with him, and you'll still have spent significantly less than him.

Any amount of tuning can do, but its just dealing and accepting the cars limitations.
RX-8's, S2000, STi, LanEvo, etc were all built on the premise of racing and performance tradition, it's not surprise they are in a different class altogether, (price wise too) I had a WRX for many years, so I know, when I say, you gotta live with the limitations of your tC. Doesn't matter to me, this car still has tons of potential and is a gripload of fun.

Yeah i really don't expect to beat him. Also I dont think Im gonna pick a race with a STI or EVO anytime soon. Its that he is always talkin ish. If my plan goes through my tC is just going to be my everyday driver. I'm trying to find a cheap 350Z to turbo and race....
But I love the tC
