Everyone using regular or synthetic? What brand? I've always been using Castrol GTX but I've noticed that the time frame to change oil for TC's is 5k instead of 3k. I don't know if regular oil will last that long. |

There is a article in the current months version of Super Street magazine. For the most part it looks like their experts reccomend synthetic but than again their experts are from the oil manufacturers themselves.

You can switch to synthetic at 3k. Conventional oil is just used to seal the the piston rings of the engine when it's being broken in. To break in my engine I did an oil change at 500 and 1k with conventional oil, at 3k I started using Mobil 1.

Yeah I probably would use all my free oil changes first. I don't mind spending a little more for synthetic though, after all we all did spend 16k+ on our cars.
