McCulloch is a good brand but kinda pricey. if you get the plug and play ones installation will only take 5 minutes.

nope. or u can check out xenondepot.com. these aftermarket HID kits are rebased bulbs that fit ur stock headlight.

    Philips is the top brand.

How much could I expect to pay for a set of quality HID's. Keep in mind that I am on a budget and would like them to be in the 7000k output range.

from the research i've done the best light outputs are 4200K and 6000K...anything higher will only have a color but will not light up the road as well...

Anyone have pictures of the 6000k on your Scion. I just dont want to spend the money and have them look like normal lights. I know if you dont go high enough on the output they will have almost the exact same color as stock headlights. Im looking for the BMW headlight look.
I get my tC on Monday!

Are you guys putting on the bulbs as the replacement of the OEM bulbs? Anyone here have the HID conversion kit? I want to see what it looks like compare to the stock.

I have to make a correction on my post above. I said I put in 6000K but I forgot I actually bought a 5000K conversion kit for mine. I'll be posting pics when I get my camera back from service. Took me a total of 4 hrs to do the entire thing because it was the first time I took the front bumper off.

I know this thread is over a month old, but if anyone is still looking for HIDs, contact me with all the questions. Also, mccullochs are not affiliated with Phillips, so its not a "phillips mcculloch kit". Also, 6k is white with a purplish tint, if you want the best visibility, get 5k, its the closest to OEM (mercedes, bmw, porsche, audi, lexus), they use 4300k. 4300k is PURE light, no color (meaning white with a lil yellowy look, kinda like the stock halogens, but whiter). The most popular are 6k and 8k, IMO those are the best. Any other questions, contact me. Oh yeah, I can get any size and color temp for 270 picked up or 280 shipped. 1 yr warranty.
McCulloch HIDs - 270, will help with install if in socal
