I do mine every 3,000 plus I run full synthetic

Yep and thats proven to keep you sludge free. My dads 04 camry had 90k miles when the dealership pulled the head like they do on all cars they were amazed no sludge or anything Synthetic every 3k

I did 3k, then now my light's showing, cuz I have 5k on it now.

What happened was when you got ur oil changed they didn't reset the light...
all u need to do is cycle through to the ODO..hold down the button, turn car off, turn car back ON (not start), 5 lines will flash, continue to hold the button until all lines are gone and your are reset..

You can make the light come on every 3K by letting out the button when there are three dashes when doing what chyz-dad described. Changing every 3K is unnecessary, oils and engines have advanced a whole lot since the time that they came up with the 3K number.

Yeh you don't NEED to change every 3k miles but why not Keep your car running good and def. go full Synthetic and never look back!

Toyota told me that Scion's oil changes are every 5K and that's what I do.

I think I'd rather keep my car clean inside. But is it free if I do the oil change in toyota? Since it's under warranty?

i've faithfully changed mine every 3K (comin up on 42K!) and i've used mobil 1 since the first three changes scion did. i plan on having my tC forever

thekevin, how did you go from a 91 300zx twin turbo to an 07 tC lol. my friend had a 1993 tt but his motor blew up

my Z is one of my dream cars. i rarely drive it. my tC is for fun/everyday driving.
