Question If you think gas is expensive

i got this off of another forum....

Check this out.....

If you think gas is expensive

This makes one think and also puts things in perspective

Diet Snapple 16 oz. $ 1.29 $12.90 a gallon

Lipton Iced Tea 16 oz. $1.19 $11.90 a gallon

Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 $12.72 a gallon

Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 $12.50 a gallon

Brake fluid 12 oz $3.15 $41.99 a gallon

Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 $222.67 a gallon

Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 $154.00 a gallon

White Out 7 oz $1.39 $31.77 a gallon

Scope 1.5 oz $0.99 $105.60 a gallon

And now for the REAL KICKER

Evian Water 9 oz $1.49 $26.49 a gallon

$26.49 a gallon for WATER

And the buyer doesn't even know the source

( Evian spelled backwards is Naive )

ever wonder why printers are so cheap ?

So they have you hooked for the INK

Someone calculated the cost of ink at....................

You wont believe it .

But it's true .

$5200.00 a gallon ( that is fifty two hundred )

So..... the next time you are at the pump ........

Be glad that your car doesn't run on ,Water , Scope , White Out ,

Pepto Bismol , Nyquil , or printers ink.

Actually Crystal Geyser water runs a dollar per gallon. Let's hope water is the next Fuel source.

How often and how much do you use any of those things, compared to gas?

fair point... water nearly as often as gas - everything else, hardly. but the perspective is interesting nonetheless

The last thing that I needed was a guilt trip about the amount of money I have to pay for gas.

Im sure if you bought anyone of those products by the gallon ( if it was possible to even by one of them by the gallon) it would be so much cheaper! look arizona green tea is $1.10 for a 20 oz can but yet a gallon of it is 2.99...your figures are way off. Its basic economics and your basically going to be buying the product at whole if you buy a gallon or more. I dont just pump a gal of gas when I get gas, its usually around 5-8 gals. Now imagine buying 10 gals of green tea straight from Arizona Tea Co., it would be like $6 prolly. Just took 2 seconds to pull up some figures from a wholesale website, they've got 480oz of Arizona Tea @ 75 cents a can. Thats 35 Cents less than buying just a single can. $18 for 24 cans!

480 fl.oz. (US) = 3.75000 gallons !!! so almost 4 gallons for $18...$4.80 a gallon.. pretty darn close to what our gas prices look like in some places. Sorry I just had to put this out there, and to think of how many times I failed math. lol
