Hi guys,
Is it possible to clean the engine bay (because mine is really dirty) without damaging any parts inside it (i.e. alternator or any electronic parts)
Please advise wisely, thanks!

Hi guys,

they make engine cleaner you can get from pep-boys, etc. i dont know what it's called as im sure there are several brands. some are foam sprays. you may have to cover some important electrical components (like the MAF sensor on the intake), but you can handle that. inexpensive...
i've never had to use them, but once you take care of the major dirt, take time to wipe down all the hoses and plastic regularly - everytime you wash your car and once or twice in between then. i'll just use a wet towel, a duster (for the pollen), and the armoral orange wipes. other than the heat shield for the headers (which is rusting a little), people are always askin me how long i've had my car cuz the bay is very clean.
Ah ha ha, I never thought of just wiping down my engine bay, I guess it would be a tedious task considering my engine bay is really dirty. LOL I'd take a picture for you and show you how dirty it is if you want lol.
Any how so WASHING IT OUT WITH A HIGH PRESSURE WATER is not recommended then? Just wipe things down with foam spray for engine bay parts![]()
yea no matter how dirty i'd stay away from just blasting it with high pressure water! unless of course you can pull the engine out of the bay!
but yea maybe on the really stubborn parts, isolate it by pouring water from a cup or something and scrubbing it with a small towel, and rinse with the cup. even if it takes a couple days of work, it's much safer that way.
Ah ha ha yeah, I agree. That's what I will do this coming weekend then, thanks _ _ _ _!
arrrrrrrghhhhhhhhh my government has been posted publically!!!!

Ah ha ha, my bad bro I edited my other message if you were referring to the use of your name.
