Default Morning Startup

Anyone feel like the tc struggles to start in the morning? Mine takes a good 2-3 seconds to start. I hope my cars not a lemon.

I actually have no problem starting my car in the morning. Just like with any other car, when I start it up cold, it'll hum on idle at a slightly higher rpm than usual than gradually go down. How many miles do you have on your tC and/or when was the last time you tuned it up?

If you are talking about how long it takes to fire up when you turn the key than that is normal. Ive noticed all toyotas tend to take a second or two to fire up.

My TC takes a sec or two but there are days where it'll be real quick. Mostly on the chilly days. Almost all toyotas start up at random times.

does anybody know if it is normal for the horn to honk when you turn on the car early in the morning? i live in Illinois and noticed that when the temp was about in the low teens or single digits and started the car it would honk the horn for a sec...does anybody know if this is normal or if i should take it to my dealer to take a look at it? I know my uncle used to have an 89' 4Runner and when it got really cold his car would start honking....any input would be great...

I don't think that's normal. My car has never honked when I start it. Do you have an alarm?
