Default Help! Brake Lights Do Not Work!!!

06 tC, 5 speed, brake lights do not work. parking lights come on, signals work, everything is functional EXCEPT when i step on the brakes, they do not light up.

only mods i have done is an HID kit and a relay to the headlights to prevent them from coming on when the ignition is off.

fuse is good, unsure if there's a relay. could it be the brake switch?

happened once before a few months ago. i thought i was crazy. they didnt work for like 10 minutes then all of a sudden they started working again.

anyone else ever have this problem? any ideas?

I'm sure you checked fuses and whatnot but check them again, I had a fuse once that was blown but didn't look blown if that makes sense also try replacing the bulbs could be someting wrong with the bulbs, just my two cents start with that and see what other responses you get.

Fuse is ok. Even the 3rd brake light won't light up. And neither of the tail brake bulbs work.

Mods: please lock/delete thread. problem solved!

Apparently, when I installed the relay to guard against the HIDs flashing w/the scion security, I didn't push the plug all the way back into the power distribution block. I feel like such a bonehead!!!!
