im not sure what header would keep the TRD exhaust sounding good, but definitely not the DC sports headers since they eliminate the CAT

Unfourtunitly out here in Hawaii, i have to put up with RECON (which is BS for another thread or check out SE under the Hawaii Chapter, its well discussed)

For the basics, anything i do to my car, even adding something as simple as an exhaust. I have to schedule an apointment to have someone tell me "yes you can" pay them for the inspection, and keep it in my car. If a cop pulls me over (which they have been doing RECON checks lately here) and sees a part that is not on my RECON. The state of Hawaii has the right to impound my car and sell it for being illegally modified.

And yall thought this was paradise.... (it is, just not for anyone that likes to modify there car)

Now to get on topic, i would really like to do a header/exhaust on my tC, but im desperate to avoid the raspiness. Not to mention i MUST run a CAT, i have no choice around it. So my search continues....

i c ur in a tight spot, thats why i love the sunshine state, there are laws about modification to cars, but they arent really enforced, nothing like CARB or RECON down here, only noticeable disturbances, like extremely LOUD exhaust, or illegal tints, or blue lights, even loud music, but i can run without a CAT with no problem, I really hope that never changes! I would look at the alphawerks headers, although im not really sure if it eliminates the CAT, perhaps someone could elaborate....

Don't know which year all of you have but i have been doing a lot of research on exhaust for the 07 year and if you plan on going full cat back then you will be paying a lot for good quality unless you have some type of awesome hook up that you know. I plan on going with ZPI full exhaust system on my 07tC. What do yall guys think of that one. Here is a vid clip of it. Most likely that tC has a Stage 0 Turbo Kit or Stage 1 Turbo Kit. But you get that point.

The ZPI would be good. Be sure to request SS flanges. My mid-pipe did not come with them. It is also not polished.

the dc sports headers eliminate the catalytic converter, therefore making it off-road use only, and also creating more flow, this will also cause a CEL(check engine light) but i dont know how to fix that
