Differences between Scion Years and Interior/Exterior changes

I am thinking about purchasing a Scion TC. Problem is I know VERY little about this car. I was hoping that you guys could give me some information about Scions. What are the differences between the years, which seems to be the least problematic year? As far as options go, what are the major differences between the years? Any other info above and beyond this would also be appreciated.

no BIG differences at all untill the 08s came out

They added :

Fasfica style projector headlights
Updated grill look
European style tailights
The interior lighting is a deep amber color now
Silver colored accents on door assist grips
updated seat fabrics
Ipod conectivity is now standard, which it wasnt on 07s and earlier
Azure Pearl and Black Cherry Mica — replaced in 2008 by Crimson Mica and Wave Line Pearl.
Standard pioneer subwoofer in the cargo area.

From 08-09
They only changed the seat material one more time to a slightly differnt mesh seat material

Scion tC, xB, xA, overlays and mods

The owners name in Glen Sample.. great guy.. Only thing I would caution u on... one of the parts of the package include an overlay that goes over the buttons for windows and locks... it is thin.. and in my opinion looks cheap because there are so many holes in it... especially for the driver... I diddnt keep those for more than an hour.. just diddnt look right...

well i must admit, that is some of the best fake c/f i've seen in a while but it's not for me, i'd rather do it in another color.

Thats all I know.. to be honest.. I would would go with an 08 and higher if I was buying used...so many changes on the inside, and outside lighting that make a BIG difference...

But I dont know what your looking for in a car

cant really tell you how to spend 20 grand!

'05-'06 are absolutely identical. The '07-up models had slight changes in the ECM and the newer (smaller) Toyota MAF. The ECM is now fully CAN compliant as are all 2007 model cars sold in the US by Federal mandate. Other than that, they are absolutely the same.
