If you have at least a good quality jack and stands so you don't kill yourself, and you consider yourself to be even remotely mechanically inclined, I'd say yes, you can do this yourself. Save yourself some money.

You may need one extra set of hands to help you hold the pipe while you line it up, but I could see doing it alone.

This is all completely new to me, I am learning as I go and have little to no car experience (trying to learn now...) and I did this with a friend of mine. Header and Cat Back, on a Saturday afternoon. And honeslty, the Cat Back was the easy part.

My neighbor is a mechanic anyway so I can always rely on him if I can't install it myself. Anyway, a catback is no different on an auto tc than a manual one, right?

You can do this with a friend. If I was able to do it with a friend and come out feeling like I had a great sense of accomplishment in the end, then I'd say anyone can.
