Default wtf 100+ for a visual inspection

I went to toyota to get a oil changed last week cause its free, next thing you know there telling me that my front left brake line is leaking wtf! When did this happen? Before I went to toyota there were no leaks. So I went today cause I had a appointment and they were going to charge me 100+ just to do a visual inspection before they touched it that's f-in crazy. I could just look at my baby for free or maybe I should start charging people just to look at her now lol. Did this ever happen to anyone else?

That sucks! I take mine to a small shop of 3 mechanics that only work on Toyotas, and have the same licenses as the guys at the dealership do.
I understand the free oil changes, I get them to... but they have no right to charge you for "visually inspecting" them if you diddnt ask them to.

Never had a problem with the brakes, then again, my car has 3,550 miles right now

Take your wheel off and look for yourself. If there is any leak, it will be obvious. I have sadly discovered, while dealing with my sick '07 Camry and diesel '07 Tundra, that the Toyota Service Departments are jokes. If you want real service then we should have bought a Lexus. Did I mention that everytime the Dealership has ever touched my tC, they damaged it?

true fact, when I had my scion security system installed, they scratched the center console (alumnium) where the cabin temp buttons are, I made them re paint it,and would not sign the sheet that said my car was not damaged.... they repainted it the wrong color! they painted it the dark grey color that the buttons are, looks different and looks good with the carbon fiber that I did, but still.. they are idiots.

I'm skeptical of taking my car anywhere period, you can't trust anyone these days unless you know them really well and a good repuitable mechanic is hard to come by these days.

Well I only went there cause I have the free oil changes till 100 k but now ima just do it myself once again, they tried to scam me f that. If I had proof that they tried to scam me I would so bring them to court. I remember when I worked for jiffy lube we got over on so many people, now I know how those people feel. Oh and on top of them telling me there was a leak I checked and nope I saw no leak nothing and they told me I needed to change my tranny fluid but I just changed it like 1 or 2 months ago

They are all a bunch of lemmings. Very few professional mechanics with the skills and terpitude left around.
