Need advice: wanna mod my exhaust

im wondering if i take the cat off my 08tc and clean it all out virtually making it a straight pipe how much louder will it make my car? and is there going to be any malfunction with the car concerning sensor misreadings with the amount of back pressure or any other mishaps caused by removing the insides of the cat? thanks

i dont think you would have a problem if you clean it out such as in the gauges but as for sound you can test it out and see how it sounds id recommend just buying a full cat back exhaust they sound way sexy and wont sound like a fart cannon

I agree. Which cat are you talking about, the primary of secondary? The primary removal will cause an overly rich reading on the Bank1Sensor2 (O2) sensor in the s-pipe. You will then need to relocate the O2 sensor to lean out the reading. The secondary cat removal will cause no issue.
