    Cool Driver Window Stuck

Anyone have any issues with their driver side window getting stuck in freezing temperatures? When the window is stuck, you press the control down, you hear the electrical "click" of the motor, and you can hear/see the inside of the door panel flex inward. The window moves at most 1/16"--probably 1/32, but I've never gotten the ruler out to measure exactly. Commanding the window to go down/up/down/up/down/up non-stop doesn't get the window to "un-freeze". I've tried directing the vent toward the window, and helping the window go down by putting my hand on the inside and trying to slide the window down while pushing the controller down.

The passenger side window works properly.

    Any ideas?

There might be some contaminants in the window channel gaskets. Do you ever see a line around the edge of your window? Window tint can be an issue where it might be delaminating or the adhesive has migrated.

I have the same problem with the passenger window of my 2007 Camry. The upper section of the window channel gasket is contaminated. Although I clean it out, it somehow comes back. I appears to be either the mold release agent from manufacture that embedded in the rubber or the rubber itself is decomposing.

Doesn't seem to be anything in the channel--no lines on the window. The guy that tinted my windows said he used just baby soap and water to get the tint to adhere.

    Oops, I didn't mention that it's an '08.

    Thanks anywho...

It is under warranty so just take it in to have it replaced. Be prepared for the inevitable , "You tint caused this". Of course, they have to prove that out of all the Scions and Toyotas out there that are tinted, yours was the rare, and I mean rare few that was caused by a tint job.
