Chrome Rims

My girlfriend just bought a 2007 TC with chrome rims, but she doesn't want the chrome. The reason why she bought the car with chrome rims on it was because she wanted black and it came with the car. How much would they be worth if selling them? or better yet...what would be the benefit trading with someone for their regular alloy rims for chrome? any difference in money given back? Please help...thanks

well chrome wheels weigh more than alloys which slow you down, I'd say sell the wheels (if they're brand new) for like 800 w/tires, you prob. won't get much more than that!, then if your looking for nice alloys for cheep goto www.wheelmax.com they sell knock off's from all the name brands, got mine there and have no complaints

she didn't want the chrome rims and she paid about 1500 for them because that was the only way she could buy the car. I had a friend's husband save specifically a black tc, but he said i would have to take the chrome wheels with it...(which was the only way for us to have the car saved for us) she doesn't want it, but if you say i'll only get 800...it's not worth it...thanks though
