What free addons did you get buying your Tc?

the dealer was tite with the free bbbs but managed to get a grand off the sticker,and with the purchase of the 7 year 100,000 mile waranty he gave me 3year waranty on the tires and wheels.if you want the diecast call the number from scion.com might have some still avalable.now how do i get the ball cap navy?

I got a free VA state inspection and an extra free scheduled maintenance. Annnnnnnnnnd then over 10 hours of my life wasted and a big F U from that dealer. So I guess I lost? But then two weeks later, I got a bunch of free shwag from my buddy who does stuff with Scion Evolution, without paying the membership fee.

Haha are you sure all of that was free? I'm kinda thinking it may have been tacked on to the price you actually paid for the car. Like for instance, instead of paying $17,620, which is Scion fixed pricing MSRP for the newest model, you probably paid a little extra.

i think i paid 500 over MSRP , but that's still less than what i was suppposed to pay for.

I wasn't supposed to get anything free (I don't think), but I managed to get some things super cheap.

I got the paint protection plan, undercarage protection, car alarm, and some other thing, all for $300 (the car alarm itself was $400 or something like that).

I did not get my car new from the dealer, but I am pretty proud of this story none the less.

I got my '06 TC when it was 2 years old used from a Car Max dealer. It had 20,000 miles on it and had the following upgrades on it already:

TRD Cold Air Intake
TRD Ground Effects Kit
Fog Light Kit
Rear Lip Spoiler
Blue LED Interior Lights
Door Still Enhancements
Scion VIP Security
TRD Front Strut Tie Bar
TRD Sport Muffler
TRD Lowering Kit
TRD Struts/Shock Kit
18" Scion Alloy wheels
Pirelli tires
Upgraded Alpine ipod/CD player stereo

I calculated the total price of these upgrades that someone else already paid for to be just over $6,500 just for the parts, NOT including whatever the dealer would have charged the first owner for installation. So, I figure around 8 grand in upgrades.

I bought the car for what was (at the time) the current blue book value of a STOCK tc with 20,000 miles on it.

I do not think that Car Max understood that the TC is a hightly upgradable car and that all these additions were not stock. They put a sticker price on the car based on a stock TC and did not take into account for any of the TRD upgrades on it.

I was in the market for a TC to begin with, but had no intention of getting involved in tuning it out. That all changed when I found this car completely mis-priced at Car Max and I got away with easily 8 grand in upgrades.

Needless to say, I swept the car out from them very quickly and did not look back. The way I look at it, I got a huge jump start on tuning up the car. There's no way I would be in a position now to put in the supercharger, pullys and fuel piggyback if I did not get this jump start.

I am pretty proud of my little find.
