    Default Manually Raise Window Emergency

I left the window down on my 2005 Scion tC last night and now the window will not go up. I tried the window reset procedure and that did not work.

I also tried to jumper 12v to the power wire to the motor but nothing happened (except the fuse popped).

My current need is to raise this window up so the car is drivable in all this Virginia rain. After that, I can worry about repair.

So is there a way to manually raise those scissors for the window?

    Thanks. Sean.

I get to respond to my own first post!!

Well, I got it up. I disconnected the plug at the switch (passenger side) and disconnected the plug at the motor (plug in inside of door closest to the side view mirror).

The Green wire (lower left) is the DOWN and the Yellow wire (lower right) is the UP.

Held a wire jumper from the post where green would be to ground, then another jumper from where yellow would be to the pink wire on the diconnected switch plug (12v).

    Window went right up. Enjoy.

    Sean.

Was the malfunction your switch. Curious as to what the cause was.
