2011 Scion tC RWD?

No. It is not the new Supra. And no. It is not the new Celica. If it's released as Toyota, it will be badged as a Corrolla. IF, and it's a big "if", the Supra is revived, it'll be a 3000GT. The Fast & Furious model was the 2000GT. It has nothing to do with the Toyobaru.

The scuttlebutt about it being the new Corolla was based on AE86 crowd hoping for the march back to RWD for the Corolla due to the FT86 name. This, I believe, is just pure speculation. The Corolla has become the little brother to the Camry. I doubt that it will become a performance RWD platform.

Now, that brings us to the Supra rumor. Being sleek and RWD, there has been a great hope for the return of the Supra. One problem, can anyone believe that the Supra would only come back as a non-turbo 4 banger to compete against Evo's, Sti's, and 370Z's? I think Toyota could do better than that.

The word that I got directly from Toyota Corporate and from insider news from Japan was this is to be either the new tC or it's replacement. I have heard nothing to the contrary.

its not going to be a tC. even if it was branded that way, i wouldnt except it as one. basically, most of the engineering is going to be done by subaru.. and toyota is going to do more of the interior/body work... or so i heard. most importantly, its going to have a subaru boxer 4 engine... and its far from the original tC. its going to perform better, and i may even like it better than the tC, but it still wont be a tC.

either way, i hope they do come out with something sickk. tC is good and all but underpowered for scions flagship.
