Default Question about installing subs

How do you connect the sub and amp wires to the headunit?

I just bought a 2007 tc and I want to install my subs in it. It has the pioneer head unit. I got everything in place but i got stuck when i went to connect the sub and amp wires to the back of the head unit. I dont know where to connect the wires at, does anybody know?

Also can you control your subs with the stock pioneer headunit?

The stock head unit does not offer sub pre-outs. You need to purchase a Lineout convertor to connect your amp. I would reccoment just upgrading to an aftermarket headunit. You won't get the same sound that you do with an aftermarket headunit w/ pre-outs.

What about the i-Pod head unit. do you think it have preamp outs? That's sucks, cause converters suck.

if you get a GOOD converter it probably wont sound that bad...this is what im getting ready to try. i'd rather not fork out an extra 200 bucks to get my headunit to work with the steering wheel controls, im gonna try the converter first, see how that sounds they are about 30 bucks for a good one, if all else fails i guess ill be saving up... =(
