Default Help on the TRD cold air intake!!

I'm planning to install the TRD cold air intake, but I have a few question. I have been reading all the posts, but still unsure with these questions, hope anyone can clear this up for me. Is there any DIY with the TRD? Also I heard that having the cold air intake will slow the car down. Is this true? One last question is will it do any damage on the car? Please let me know. Thank you very much!!

I could swear that we had one on here at one point. I can't seem to locate it though. Having a cold air intake will not slow your car down whatsoever. It will give you an increase of a couple of horsepower. It will not do any damage to the car. Scion would not offer the part for sale if it had any adverse effects on the vehicle.

Whomever gave you that bad info is dead wrong. I would suggest that you don't advice from that person/place anymore.

well.. the instructions that come with the intake itself was pretty much designed for a "mechanic" that doesn't know crap to be able to install it. a diy isn't really needed.

i swear i saw this question posted before.. i assume you decided to spam other forums this same exact question? that's my only guess..
because i vaguely remember someone answering that you would have to drive into a pond to cause damage to the car.
    LEDs.... yay!

Mine came with Water Ski options. So if I ever come accross a large amount of water, I push a button, and my wheels become water skiis. It makes driving to Hawaii a lot easier.

I had seen the police talk a belligerent drunk down from his excited state. They asked him what he did for a living. He said truck driver. When they saw a positive response, they asked more about his occupation. One officer had asked whether he was a short-haul or over the road driver. They dude said that he was an over the road driver. Going further they asked what States has he driven to. The dude went on to name a list of states that included Hawaii! He must of had ski's on his truck too.
