Default this is a LONG re-hello post :)

yeah it's been a while... i haven't posted much on here because of my accident back in april if anyone who read that post remembers.. the reason why i'm back on club-tC is because redneck4csa PMed me asking what was happening. and now i'm in the mood to post
so to refresh my accident post.. i got in a rear end accident with a metal bumpered van at the end of april (i say metal bumpered because teh idiot took on no damage).. the guy slammed on his brakes, i skidded into him, he took off. took two weeks to get my car into the shop to get repaired. my family says since they were a family friend (the shop) that he helped me out. but in my point of view, only in teh deductible payment. he claimed the damage was 1500 (which i estimated.. it was only the bumper and headlights that were broken) and when the insurance guy came around it was 2k. so basically right there the 500 deductible was taken care of.. follow?
anyways if you do or don't i'm going on with the story lol:
tC went in on a thursday, i went to pick it up at a monday. since the accident my car has been starting with a stutter (i drive a manual so it was like she was about to stall). i brought it to my mechanic who i've been going to for 3yrs and actually trust. he did a reading on the car to see what was making the car stutter - nothing came up. the only thing that came up was when i was looking at my front end...
if you remember in my accident post, the hood was popped up, the fenders were spread apart still from the hood, and my driver side headlight you could literally rock back and forth. i took it back.
they had to reorder the headlight so i had to wait another week. when they took the car to fix the few things, they caused me more problems than needed. when i got the car back, i was told, yeah the headlight was broken we replaced it, we sanded down the paint on the bumper because you can SEE where it wasn't painted properly. i was told the hood and fenders were put back in place because they were misaligned. i said thanks and hit their building... with my car.
apparently the ppl who work for this guy are more stupid than i first thought. i was on a tiny hill pointing down towards the building (so my car's front was facing the building).. the guy put my car in FIRST GEAR with no e-brake. i use e-brake only unless i'm on a hill... so i wasn't ready for the car to roll into their building once i took my foot off each pedal after the turn on. the only thing dented was their building, paint stripped off my bumper from a sign that was in the way... i looked up at them and said "i'm gonna go now" and never went back. when i should.

my car accident is what really disappointed me in having a brand new car (even if she's an 05). she's my first real purchase and this idiot slammed on his brakes for no reason. the accident and all the BS i went through to get her "fixed" is another reason why i don't wanna continue with the plans i had for her. the bumper is not a scion bumper. it's a look alike. the fenders and hood are still far from each other. the towing hook cover doesn't even fit in the hole! also- the grill with the emblem isn't even properly installed. every day i look at her i'm disgusted that i put faith into these ppl who were supposed to be a "family friend"... i feel like he screwed me over. yeah he helped me with the deductible, but you could've gotten an OEM bumper off ebay for 200 bucks!!
    idk what to do.

posting back on here and seeing different ppl's tCs makes me wanna continue with my plans for her tho, but from being sick all through march, i've been broke as all hell and i can't even use my tax return the way i wanted to... which was making her how i wanted her:
    • '08 stock projector headlights
    • intake
    • short shifter
    • lowering springs (1.5"-1.7")
    • black rims (bc i think they're uber sexay)
i was gonna get her a new bumper... but now i'm thinking... would she look just as sexy with a bra? i know the two are prolly the same price and why get a bra when you CAN just get a new bumper.. but srsly.. sexy or not?

anywhos, hopefully next year is a better time.

ok so now that we're caught up in time... i just wanna say i have rules for my baby:
    1) no smoking
    2) absolutely no eating unless it's me or in the daylight
    3) no puking
    4) no shoes on seat, bare feet okay
    5) no farting (lol)
    6) no burping
ok... so none of these rules actually work. my mother smokes in my car when she borrows her and i have to blast my heat so that it "melts" my yummy car freshener to get rid of the nasty smoke smell. the puking was just a joke (hasn't happened thank god)... the shoes and feet thing apply because i am the only one who does this lol, the farting and burping: one word: fail.
    now about the eating thing.

another disappointment in my tC life....
first my coworker gets ketchup on my backseat and i didn't notice it until the next day... then my other coworker (my lunch and after work buddy) got bbq sauce ALL OVER the side of my passenger seat... every day i looked at it i wanted to cry because he said he'd fix it...
i have an 05.. you know the honeycomb material??? sauce does not come out AT ALL... we steamed it... and it kinda worked... but i was rushed in doing so... any ideas with this one?

    so yeah. /sigh...
i think that's everything caught up. i love her to death, i miss my del sols like crazy, and i reeeeeeally hope that next year is better for her and my pocket.
and oh yeah, one more thing: me and tC had our first year together last friday
not to mention i got 2 ppl to buy a tC. my ex's sister and my coworker's wife!!! XD i should work for scion haha

    (btw sry for the essay)

Glad to see you back. I guess all it took was some caring from a special someone...lol. Seems like you have some good plans. I hope you can follow through on them. If you need any help, just let me know and I'll do the best I can.

Well my friend, glad to see you persevere. I too have had similar experiences and feel the same way about my tC. This was my first brand new car for me as well. My Baby was hit and run that justice was not served. She still carries her Red Badge of Courage for New Orleans war zone.

As far as autobody repair shops, quick change oil stations, mechanics, and Dealerships go, I trust none of them save Christian Brothers Automotive (Dallas, Texas) and Jotech Motorsports (Garland, Texas). All the rest either don't know what they are doing, don't care, or are crooks. Just like getting a second doctor's opinion before a surgery, you should do the same when your girl goes under the knife. Whenever you car gets in a wreck and has to be repainted or parts replaced, it will never be the same.

Here is what you need to clean up the stains in your car.
this is a LONG re-hello post :)-tensioner-tool.jpgFirst, take this and beat your friends/co-workers into submission for their trespasses. Did they not know that they desecrated the temple of the solitude that is the Scion tC? Those cheeky bastards!
this is a LONG re-hello post :)-blue-magic-carpet-stain-remover.jpgNow you can use this Blue Magic Carpet Stain Remover to relinquish the hold those stains have on that sweet interior. This stuff is the bomb and will not fade colors. I use it in all of my cars from the headliners to the carpets to the seats. Has not damaged any plastic but I would try to avoid letting any amount settle on those parts just in case. I have even got blood out of a tan headliner from a squashed mosquito. Shoot! I use a little in my cereal. It helps the cereal to stay crunchy in milk.

Application is easy. I soak the stain then blot the area. Sometimes a light scrubbing is required but don't overdo it on light materials like headliners. It tends to fuzz them up. Also, too much on a headliner can cause the glue to fail so use sparingly.

Caution: The contents shoots out of the nozzle rapidly like wasp/hornet spray so watch your eyes.

As for the smoking in your car, kick your Mom out. Your car, your rules. Even if your parents bought the car for you, it is still you that takes care of it and have to drive around in it. Everyone should respect that. There is just no excuse for her to smoke in your car when she borrows it. That is just not right. My Mother is a lifetime smoker and she would not smoke in her brand new truck. She did it because she knew that the smell would ruin the resale value and that it would be easier for me and my kids to ride around with her. That was until smoking was banned at her work. They could not smoke even in the parking lot so she started smoking in her truck.

Glad to have you back. Let us know if you have any questions or need assistance. We are here to help.

ahaha the only ownage my mom has towards the car is she's the co-signer. and if i refinance, i dont even need her on my loan.

your post made me laugh, especially about beating the kid with that ratchet or whatever it is lol. i'll put that stuff on my shopping list about the stain. it really is saddening to see every day.

sooo... is everyone just ignoring the bra statement? haha

Bras are for girls, not cars.

Yeah, but Shody likes to be free and liberated. That bad ***** doesn't wear bras! She lets it all hangout for the world to enjoy! Don't stifle her inner animal!!

And you know all this from?...lol

I'm not trying to stifle her whatsoever. She asked for my opinion and I gave it. I think bras are ugly. On both women and cars. Unless it's pink.

There are times when I see sports cars with quality bras that actually look pretty darn good. I just worry about rubbing the paint underneath like my Scion car cover did.

The bumpers themselves can be found relatively cheap. Painting is going to be your most expensive endeavor.
