Default New to the tC... help before purchasing

So I totaled my 02 Civic Si and I've been looking around and I'm digging on the tC. But not knowing too much about it I came here to ask, what should I pay for and what options aren't worth it today?

I am an aggressive driver, so I was looking at the TDR stuff:
Muffler
Struts/Shocks
Lowering Springs
Clutch
Quick Shifter
Tie Bar

Are these things worth the money? Or should I search Flea-Bay after the fact?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Most of the stuff you're after is good. But you can buy it cheaper from legitimate parts dealer and know you're getting good parts. Ebay is a nightmare for parts. Lots of not-so-nice people on there. If you're buying a new tC then the "pure pricing" makes the price whatever the sticker says it is. If you're looking for used ride check edmunds.com for pricing info.

If your mechanically inclined and can install those items yourself, I would definately buy the car stock and buy the parts later. You can get all those items for quite a bit less at trdsparks.com. Ken is an awesome guy to work with.

Thanks! I know flea-bay is hit or miss. I was just using it as an example. Thanks for the info and links!

I am somewhat mechanically inclined. The clutch would be out of my realm, only cause I've never done a clutch. The exhaust I would have a shop weld, but the other items I should be able to do my self. I was just worried about warranty issues.

If I got TDR items is Scion gonna void the warranty? I realize if I hose it I'm SOL, but if properly installed and something unrelated happens what could happen?
