    Default side view mirrors

I just purchased a 08 scion tc rs 5.0 and I was wondering If it was possible to retract the mirrors? is there a button I'm missing? or is it manual ? I looked and tried but didn't want to "force" anything...

    Thanks ...

New owner, haven't had it even 2 hours yet

Do you mean turn them inwards on a set axis or retract them into the car? I think they will bend in towards the cockpit of the car if enough pressure is applied as a saftey feature but I have never tested it.

Streets is correct. I do believe the sideview mirrors will pivot when pushed hard enough to prevent breakage from someone smacking it. I can not find any definitive info in the Owners Manual or the pubs. Just one of those little hidden nuggets that makes the tC a cut above. It is, however, not intended for daily use and there is no Lincoln Navigator control to retract.

    BTW ... That would be a 2009 for RS5.0 or 2008 for a RS4.0.

The mirrors are almost as deep as they are long. Not sure if forcing them every day is really worth it. Just my 2 cents.
