hey, i got a performance chip for sale! let me give you some info:
Hey everybody, I recently just got a new performance chip from Dynamic Performance that is just as good as the PROMAX chip. Anyways, in order for me to get stuff from them, i have to use their products. I had the PROMAX in my scion before and it's actually better. You can feel, hear, and see the difference. I have the PROMAX chip for salenow so Send me an offer. Message back or email me at Adamrod7@aol.com
Here's some info: 35 hp gain (Actually it's really between 25-38) Test done by Dynamic Performance
Dyno Proven
The PROMAX
Performance Module reprograms your ECU to unleash the full
potential power of your vehicles engine.
PROMAX Performance
Module simply wires into the factory harness of the IAT sensor.
The ECU then readjusts the vehicles air/fuel and advances the
timing curve to new performance settings. There is no risk
of damage to the engine or electrical system since the modified
sensor signal will always remain with the manufacturer's
recommended specifications.
PROMAX Performance
Module will not affect engine reliability or longevity. Detailed
instructions are included, install is less than 15 mins, and your 35 horses stronger.
Performance Module can be removed or re-installed at any time
with the hardware included and doesn’t void most warranties.
Each module is programmed to fit the vehicle in the title only.
Specifically made just for the Scion tC (2004-2007)
You get 1 Module and all necessary hardware to have this module
completely installed!!
I have pics, if you want them, email me at Adamrod7@aol.com
those things are a rip off all it is is a resistor (dime a dozen) and hurts your car and performance. NOT help it
All Scion ECM's EPROMs are locked with Toyota's proprietary code. This is why the TRD S/C took so long to be released and why a dealer has to do the reflash (not anymore).

Are you kidding with this? Do you really trust the manufacturer to do unbiased testing of their own product? That'd be like SmithKline creating a diet drug, doing tests in house and saying their research proves you can lose 20 lbs in three days.Originally Posted by tC-sCharged
If you believe DP's claims I have a "gas pill" that gets you 15 HP and nets you 20mpg extra on fuel economy! I can put it on my "dyno" to prove it too.

Get out and drive.
Say. Where can I get some of those diet pills? I have gotten a lil flabby from the Holidays.

i stayed in shape going to the track in march and we all know the less weight there is in the car the faster she will go.
Yea performance chips that boost 35hp, fake turbochargers that consist of a metal ring in your intake, exhaust tips that say +25hp. None of these actually work. If it looks to good to be true, it probably is.
WTF!!! I say ban for trying to sell b.s. Let's see a dyno chart a**hole!Originally Posted by tC-sCharged
LoLz. Well, i see that promax thingymajigger on eBay! Pshhh haven't seen ANY kind of "REAL" performance ECU chip to this day. Not that I don't believe it works, but ya know . . .
The only performance chip out there for the tC 2AZ-FE is the TRD reflash module for the TRD S/C. Toyota has encrypted the ECM logic so that it cannot be hacked. That is why, unless you have an overboosted turbo setup, Toyota does not worry about add-ons. The ECM will not let you screw it up.

ok, so no " performance Chip" works with our cars because the ECU is locked and encrypted. So I guess that would mean applications such as say "unichip" or "e-manage" would simply not work and be a waste of money?
Quite the contrary. These units are piggybacks that operate independant of the stock ECM to alter sensor input, as well as, change the driving circuits for the fuel injectors and ignition timing. Even with this functionallity, these units are mostly effective only with WOT conditions. In the end, the ECM is still in control. No gain can come from a piggyback on a stock motor. You must have supporting mods, ie cams, headwork, F/I, NOS, etc.

That makes sense that you would have to have upgrades to take advantage of for a piggy back to be effective. I guess just intake and catback wouldn't be enough to merit getting one? What are some of the better piggybacks on the market for the 2009 tC?
AEM and UniChip are the most used units out there. Some use Apexi and Blitz units on turbo apps. No gains would really be had for the money for just I/H/E or other bolt-ons. The OEM ECM does a very good job at making safe, reliable power. If you are auto trans, well then, you would be more interested in some sort of piggyback controller that can override the trans ECU. Not sure if there is one for us. Built motors (heads, higher compression, stroker, and/or cams), NOS, and F/I setups DO benefit from a piggyback ECM controller.

OK, I see that Jet chips is offering a performance programmer. Any input on this?
