More Guy or Girl Scion Owners?

Well, my girlfriend owns one but since shes had it I have grown quite fond of it...lots of aftermarket support for them, sporty commuter, and it might as well be Toyota...which in my opinion is a great car. I thought about getting one in a couple of years after I get done driving my Mazda. Every person I've seen driving one is a guy...

i think more guys shud get 5 SPD to kinda stand out from the whole girly aspect about tC's .. not to say girls can't drive stick .. but it looks more manly .. plus put an exhaust on it to make it sound deep .. girls mostly drive auto .. hav no mods .. and hav bright colors .. all in all i think girls hav more tC's

I have to agree with azndreamer... here in the bay area I think I've only seen like one or two other tC's that had female drivers. They all guys! I gotta hella crazy look from some guy in a black cherry one that drove by me earlier too.. i usually acknowledge other tC's but man, this guys looked like he was on some ****.

OMG! SOCAL has majority girls! but mostly all stocked. All the innovated ones are driven by guys :[

Here's my take on it the chicks/dudes thing as far as tC drivers go.

I'm cool with 90% of the tC drivers are Female(I'm more apt to say its 60/40 in favor of the girlies) because 90% of the mod'd tC's you see are driven by guys.


Most girls that drive a tC drive it because their parents got it for them, they just wanted a "pretty" car. Most guys that get a tC are immediately online looking for ways to make it faster/flashier ect. I do not know any Male tC driver that doesn't have mods on his tC. NOT 1!!!

Here in Riverside it's mostly girls who drive Tc's. I have a 06 auto Black cherry Tc(which i wanted a manual but they didn't have any). But the ones that are modified are driven by guys.

Nothing against girl's driving tC's or any tuner/hotrod for that matter. It is just that the girls driving tC's here just don't seem to get the whole Scion Community ideology. They seem to be oblivious or ignore other tC's on the road here in New Orleans. In those rare occasions when I pull up next to a guy driving a tC, I get the traditional tC nod (vroom, vroom). This is one of the principle thoughts purposed into the Scion car line, a sense of community and culture that is specifically our own. No B/K Series, EVO, or Subie peeps here; just the smart, cultured Scion crowd.

i think girls arent really into the whole "car community" ideology no matter what it is they drive. you can go to any car forum out there and 90% of the posters will be guys, hell i bet even on the new VW bug forums its mostly guy posters and we know damn well that is a car typically drivin by females... so it doesnt translate onto the street either.


back to the origional topic though... here in orlando i do tend to see more females driving tC's, i do see guys too, but deff more girls. It really is kind of a chicky car in my opinion(what do i know i drive an ion), which is why i wasnt suprised when thats what my girlfriend wanted when we decided to get her a new car. Usually when you see a modded tC its drivin by a guy though, but i think thats the case for most cars, girls are not usually into modding/tuning.

Yeah, it does. I miss driving my ride for 45 days at a time. That is quickly made up for by trips to Hawaii, Japan, Australia, Germany, Sicily, Norway, Alaska, Carribean, etc. I do wish I could take my tC with me to drive in those places. I would so love to open her up on the Autobahn (Autostrada)!

Houstonian heh? I am from G-Town, near Big D. I am moving to Cowtown hopefully in December. I am going to work with Kenny Tran at Jotech to hold a major Scion event there this Spring.

my one friend (civic driver) cracks on me about the tC bein a chic car. In south jersey he's right. i hardly see guys drivin them. i feel lonely out here! i've run into one guy w/ a tC same color as mine but his was loaded! his was slammed, phat 19's, fast, cf hood, among many other mods.
and about the community thing, it is a little disheartening when other tC drivers dont acknowledge you. Corvette owners do it. Jeep owners do it. the community thing is a fun and cool idea. Somehow we gotta get the chicks involved!

No offense taken....but I get such a rush when I find another TC that wants a little competition. I've had my 'hubby' since a couple days before Thanksgiving and I put almost 4,000 miles on him already! I don't find that many TC owners up here in Mass or Connecticut and when I do they're not really customized. I bought a white '08 TC right off the showroom. I don't have any pics yet 'cause I just joined but I've got the body kit, the rear lip spoiler and some sweet tail lights (forgot what they were called). SO IN LOVE!!!

So far here in AZ it all seems to be equal. I have yet to see any custom tC s though. I am starting to think mine is the only one in my city.
