    Default exhaust

real quick story so i was driving to work from utah to nevada and in between is arizona (tri state area) anyway there was a cop in the slow lane and a car in front of me. the jackass was driving slow cause he was scared of popo and i get pulled over. his reasoning for getting pulled over is because my car was "so loud" when i took off it rumbled his floor board.. really really dood anyway to make a long story short i told him i worked at the police station (which i do) and he just let me go but seriously this guy was an idiot! what i want to know though the sound my srs exhaust system gives out im not really pleased with. it really isnt that loud but it is loud and on the freeway going 90 lets be honest you cant hear something like that. so i will be getting the weapor r 4-2-1- header soon hopefully by xmas what i want o know is what would be a good nice deep not so ricey sounding exhaust system to match with my weapon r? any ideas what will give me the best performance and sound?

Bro, if I was you, I would seriously invest in either a Moroso Sprial Flow Res or one from Magnaflow. The longer the res, the quieter the tone. I would also stay away from Canister Mufflers (Fart Cans), those right there will draw the unwanted attention, plus the dB levels are higher with those mufflers, less restriction. I would get a Magnaflow or Borla Muffer. IMO, fart can mufflers are more for sound and nothing else, everybody and their brother has one, but there are some I have seen that are quiet and sound great, if you do decide to go w/ a canister muffler, get one w/ a removable baffle (tunable). Keep in mind that a header will increase sound, but if you have the whole system built properly and using the correct piping size, you'll be fine. If your not F/I, I would go 2.25'' - 2.50'', no bigger. Also upgrading to a high-flow CAT will help unrestrict your flow, CAT's rob so much HP/Torque as it is.

After reading over the link you gave me, it sounds like for vehicles w/ higher Reving Engines, but not like we can rev as high a Honda S2000 9,000 rpm's and higher. The 4-2-1 header is better suited for a mid-high power band and smoother flow, less rasp.
