Default Dyno Tuning - Old School

Ever wonder how those old guys running around in those rat rods and and supped up jalopies tuned their rides? Were they the pioneers of performance tuning? No, they learned the tools of the trade from a much older source; Steam Locomotion.

The bigger engines were getting around 6,000 WHP+ I believe. Gurgle "Steam Locomotive Engine Dynamometer" and "Train Dynamometer Car" for some really interesting reading. I found it fascinating that most of this was going on in the 1800's.
