Default My new car... and it's not a TC

Well, for those of you who know me, you may have wondered where I've been the last few months. To say I've been busy is a gigantic understatement.

For starters, I am now engaged to my GF. I have also obtained and graduated up to a new ride.

Everyone, meet my new '09 Nissan 370 Nismo. She came from Las Vegas Nevada with approx 4,000 miles and not a scratch on her. And man, is she beautiful.

I've been in communication with Scott (Navylife) directly via E-mail throughout much of this process, so thanks to him for all the help I've gotten over the couple years I've had the TC and spent tons of money on it. I've learned a lot, and the TC was a great starter car for me. It achieved what I wanted, which was to get my foot in the door and eventually get a larger displacement car with some more power. Well... mission accomplished. She's 350 HP stock (Nismo version).

I've always said (when I had the TC) that I was not screwing around. And I really went nuts on the TC. This is the next step for me, and I really don't screw around. I've already started buying parts for modding the Nismo and obtained 3 sponsorships just based on my plans for the car, word of mouth, and the reputation I built with the awards my TC won me last summer.

I love the TC, and always will. But everyone, meet my new ride...

Very. Only 4,000 miles and came from Las Vegas NV. Not a scratch on her. Literally.

Down at Kenny Tran's shop, GTRs are a dime a dozen. I think he is secretly a Nissan dealership.

Done any new work on your ride? What about some interior shots?

    Man, that's awesome. I love GTR's.

My new seats started going in last night. Should be finished in a few days (in time for a show I have next weekend).

I had a sweet Nardi steering wheel, Works Bell quick release and hub put on yesterday too. That thing is HOT. I'll have some photos soon.

Also, we're waiting for the new sound system stuff to start showing up so that can go in, which will include a custom sub woofer box in the trunk.

We're also in the process of building a custom one off skateboard rack that will go in the trunk. Fully functional, but will be a head turner for shows. I have some "in process" photos of that I'll post shortly. IT'S SICK.

I have a roll cage on order that will go in later. It's over kill for what I wanted, which was just a harness bar for the seat harnesses, but it was the only thing I could get for the car that is currently readily available.

Yeah, I saw a GTR in Pearl White for the first time a few weeks ago, and I had the same reaction as when I first saw my car in that color.

WOW is that hot, and WAY nicer than I thought it could ever look.

GTR's are ridiculous. One of a few cars on my "must have" list.

Hey guys. Update on the new car. I had this video and photo shoot shot right at the end of the season before putting the car away about 3 weeks ago. Check it out! It turned out great.

Hey, where's your "My Other Car Was a Scion" bumper sticker at and was that a Rolex strapped down on your left arm?

Looking way awesome Jay. Why ain't you been snagged up for a magazine spread yet? That is one top-notch car you have. A very well balanced ride in looks and performance. You have done an outstanding job. Did you have a connection with Placebo? Awesome production work on the vid. The white parking garage flowed really well with your Nis.

Jay, I have a question for you. How reliable are the Nissan 350Z's? I am looking at getting one after my tC is paid off, but I am not too sure which year or model I want. I have also been hearing mixed reports about them, electrical issues, eating up tires and suspension isuues. I know the base model from 03-05 is the lightest and can be built up to be as fast if not faster than the Nismo. The newer ones 07-09 have slightly more HP but weight a lot more.

    Your thoughts/opinions?
