Question Remote and Locking Mechanism I guess?

Didn't look real hard to see if this has already been posted or not, so if it's been asked and answered, Sorry!

Does anyone else have any issues with unlocking their doors? Pushing the unlock button twice on the key doesn't always unlock the passenger's side and hatch doors. Sometimes I have to push it 3 to 4 times (I think I do that out of frustration and then I just keeping pushing it to make sure it's unlocked).

There's times when the driver's side has been unlocked for a while and then I'll push the unlock button to open the passenger's side and it doesn't do it. Am I doing something wrong...?

I have never had any issues w/ mine, but you may want to see if the lithium battery needs to be replaced, or the key fob itself is going bad, or needs to be reprogrammed.

It is like double-clicking the mouse on a computer. You click it too fast, it won't register. I have had that happen to me on all of my Toyota branded cars. Each time was that I clicked too fast. The battery, like Cadence stated, might be running low too. As for the all of the doors not unlocking when you press; what the key fob or the unlock switch on the driver's door?

I don't have a problem with the driver's side. Just the passenger's. I thought maybe it was the battery also but it always unlocks immediately for the driver's door.

When your unlocking the doors, your best bet would be to wait 2-4 seconds then press the unlock button again for the passenger side door. This tip should should work and solve the issue.

It appears to be working normally then. Take Cadence's advice and be patient before pressing the unlock a second time. I verified this again today. Press it too quickly and it does not unlock the hatch and passenger door. This is by design. The purpose being the same reason for the driver's door being the only one to unlock in the first place; safety. When in an insecure area, you only want the driver's door to unlock to prevent that creep or Scooby-Doo sea monster from entering thru the passenger door. If you accidentally press unlock quickly twice, the other doors will remain secure.

If a = b and d is the congenital tangent of y divide by the speed of light, the inevitable conclusion between button presses is the scientific confluence of 'One Mississippi'. It took 5 years of Graduate School but the mystery is finally solved.

...Until you got to the 'One Mississippi' part. That was much easier to understand. Haha

Ya know, that is actually a very wise and true statement. Just an extension of Scion Philosophy I suppose.
