    10 eight foot 2x4 boards
    1 4'x8' x 1/16" plastic sheet
    10 1.5' x 2' shingles
    3 heavy-duty hinges
    6 small brackets
    1 gallon paint
    1 2' by 5' rug

1 roll of 40 sq ft R13 insulation
a few groceries from the honey-do list

I was still able to cruise at 80 up the hill, see out of all my mirrors and windows, and shift without whacking my elbow. Try that in a Civic SI!!

Oh my! That is painful to look at. Hope you had the all weather mat for the rear. I cringed at what my Son moved in his RS3.0, including his dang slobbering, shedding dog when he moved out on his own. I do have to admit that I have lowered the seat backs and carried some loads myself. One item in particular was the starboard, inner main landing gear door from one of my Squadron's C-130T Hercules aircraft that broke a strut during a hard landing on a 4,000ft stretch of narrow asphalt in the Bahamas. The part was going to be tossed so I saved it from the recycle bin.

So what were you building/repairing? My guess, from the amount and type of stuff that you are building your beloved canine one sweet doggy castle.

You are good! It is indeed going to be a dog house, finished on the inside. I use those heavy-duty moving blankets to protect my interior when doing things like this. I've also done a load of 15 8x16 cinder blocks. I think the biggest eye-popper was when I was getting supplies for my dad's retirement party; 20 cases of beer, 10 cases of soda, 300 lbs of ice, and two sheet cakes, with a passenger!

Well, you know that every cool car has to be able to fit atleast that much quantities of mass consumption. Back in the late 80's we used to haul freight down to the liquor store in my Buddy's short-wheelbase Chevy Silverado to stock up on party supplies for the lake, cruise strip, or house party. We would fill the entire bed up with ice, load it down with the teenage cheap swill that we were drinking (Coors, Bud, Miller slash anything light, every flavor of B&J/Seagrams wine coolers, a few choice bottles of Mad Dog 20/20, Bacardi Silver, JD, and Wild Turkey). There may have been a few sodas mixed in there but who's counting? Snap down the tonneau cover and we were good to go to Party Town. Most of the time it was my house as I lived alone my Junior and Senior year.

    Disclaimer Alert!
We here at the Club don't condone any type of drinking and driving stupidity or underage drinking. For those of you of age, you don't have to get smashed everytime that you drink. There is such a thing as drinking an alcoholic beverage just for the simple pleasure of the taste. To put a serious note to this, I lost a high school buddy because he left a party with another person who was the driver and was drunk. People at the party made only a feinting gesture of concern about the driver's intoxication level. Had someone stepped up and been stubborn and took the keys, those 2 people would have lived another day not forcing their family and friends to cope with a closed casket funeral. Closed as in their bodies were horribly mangled from smashing head first thru the windshield into the rock bottom of a 30 foot deep dry creek bed. I spent the rest of my Senior year saying "Hi" to Doug as we crossed paths between classes as we had down for the past 3 years. Problem was, he was dead.

Yes, I am guilty of excessive over indulgence, underage drinking, making poor decisions way back then and not just about alcohol. Now a much wiser 43, I can see how close I was to swinging by a thread. Only by the Grace of God am I here today.
