Default Short-throw Shifter? (pics now added)

I bought a used 07 and wanted to know if anyone knows how to tell if it has had a short-throw shifter installed already. a couple of others who have driven mine said it the shift pattern feels much tighter than others they have driven. also when i pulled the boot off the main pivot ball looks like it has a blue sleeve over it if that helps. thnx for any input

A short-throw does not tighten up the shift pattern. It just shortens the amount of arm travel that it takes to shift between gears. There is no blue collar that I know of on stock shifters. The shifter cage should be an ivory white. Without measuring the shift rod itself and comparing to a stock one, I don't know what to tell you.

sorry for the delay I just got back home to take the pics for ya. from the pivot ball to the top of shifter without knob on it is 6.5 inches if that helps anyone, can't get overall length without taking out the cage.

with shift knob in 3rd gear taken from arm rest

the blue sleeving I was talking about, it is around the pivot ball and the "nub" the points towards the driver seat

    from the side

Definitely looks like an aftermarket short-throw. The stock unit has a hardened steel unit on the pivot ball. You can see from the pics the OEM shifter on the left and the TRD unit on the right. Sorry, I don't have a pic before I bent it. You can see that the pivot is steel.

yeah after seeing the pics of yours it definitely looks aftermarket, do ya remember how tall the stock was from the pivot ball to the top?

hopefully now someone can help me identify what kind it is.
thnx for the stock and TRD compo pics.

EDIT: well was just doing some cruising around some parts sites and judging by the full colour install manual I have found out it is the "B&M Precision Sport Shifter" here is the site for this shifter B&M Racing tC Shifter
