For those Scion owners out there that are considering adding gauges to the A-Piller, be very careful when you install them. There is a risk of setting off the side curtain air bags if you don't know what your doing. I would also be concerned with adding gauges to the pillar in the event of an accident, the air bags will detonate at such a high rate that the pod and gauges will become flying projectiles and shrapnel. I would take this into consideration before adding any gauges. There is another option of putting your gauges above the waterfall or buying a ScanGauge II, which I have in my tC and is cheaper and does the same thing as any gauge on the market. It simply plugs into the OBDII jack and can be mounted anywhere. If your running a boosted Scion, I am not positive if the scanguage reads boost, will do more research on this.
